Hi Everone, After an arduous 42 hour journey, we finally made it to Myanmnar. Had some difficulties with Customs but all is well. The team is well and anxious to get started. Spent the day with the orphanage staff planning the weeks to come, along with dropping off some donated products. We will visit our first home tomorrow.

Hi Everyone, Today we visited a wonderful children's home in a remote section of Yangon, the former capital of Myanmar. It is run by a wonderful couple totally committed to the welfare of all their children and their surrounding neighbors. There is a great story to tell in this particular home. We were all blessed by the children and felt they gave us more than we could ever give them in return.
Tomorrow we visit again a home in a remote section of Yangon. We will need to take in a much smaller van in order to get to home since the roads are muddy and very narrow.
Continue to pray for the children of Myanmar and the team is kept safe and can accomplish all the objectives on their agenda,

Hi Everyone, We encountered a problem today with the local authorities and had to cut short our visit to the children's home. Even though short, the children were happy, loving and well cared for. It was a blessing to see them again, especially the little boy who had surgery, who by the way is doing well.
The team is doing well and is in good spirit in spite of all the difficulties we have encountered. We are in contact with Him daily for guidance and support.
We will not be able to provide an update for the next 2 days since three of us will be traveling to the Mon State where internet connections are virtually non-exisitent.
Continue to pray for the children of Myanmar and that our team accomplishes all our objectives.
Blessings, Team Myanmar
July 14 and 15, 2007
Hi Everyone, In order to meet everyone's needs, the team split up into three groups.
Team 1 went to a children's home on the 14th while team 2 traveled to the Mon State to gather data for the micro business opportunity.
On the 15th Dan W. conducted a presentation at a company, while team 2 attended a seperate company meeting and team 3 in the Mon State Conducted another company presentation. Things are definitely more difficult this year, but objectives are being accomplished.
The next few days will continue to prove challenging as the team splits up into 3 seperate groups again.
Continue to pray for the children and people of Myanmar and that the team can accomplish all the objectives set before them.

Hi Everyone, Dan W. met and taught with all the S. students today. He will be doing so for the next few days.
Team 1 went to the neighborhood school and unsponsored home. The unsponsored home last year was leaning and ready to collapse, this year it did collapse. They are living in a very small temporary hut for now.
Team 2 went to a home with 36 children. The Director and her two older children are doing a very good job in providing for their children. Much to do with very little resources.
Continue to pray for the children and people of Myanmar and that the team can accomplish everything within the last few days of our trip.

Hi Everyone, It was an emotional visit to a children's home today. We met 3 small children whose mother passed away a few months ago and their father could not afford to keep them any longer. They were from a different people group and could not communicate with anyone from the home. The boy who was around 8 kept running away trying to find his father while his younger sister would sit and cry by herself since she missed her mother. No one from the home could comfort her.
Some may remember the sermon Dan L. preached a couple of weeks ago about the young lady that was beaten and thrown into the public toilet for her beliefs. We met her yesterday.
Late in the afternoon we had the opportunity to walk the Swedagon Pagoda.
Continue to pray for the children and people of Myanmar and that the team can continue to meet their objectives.

Hi Everyone, We visited our last children's home today. As a result of the finanical support you all provided, they were able to construct a totally new home. As you can imagine, they are very grateful.
This will be our last update. Tomorrow we will be in meetings recapping our visit and planning with everyone here for our next visit. We will be departing Myanamr in 2 days.
It is with sadness that we leave the friends we have all made over the past weeks, but there is hope that the work we have done will help in some small way and they will all be a little better off.
Please pray for the children and people of Myanmar and that the work we have done will be in His glory!
Blessings, Team Myanmar
